Based on the Focus MkIII, the concept of the new Ford Focus coupé will be presented at the Detroit Motor Show in January. As a part of Ford´s global design strategy, it will be a "world car".

The Cougar´s production was stopped in 2002. Since then, Ford has watched other car companies take the market.

"Designers have spent most of this year working on the coupé concept. As inspiration they’ve had pictures of Capris on their studio walls," an insider revealed.
