Automaker Ford is using recycled blue jeans in such areas as carpeting and sound-deadening material.

The cotton clothing can be found in future Ford Focus models, the company reports. The project is part of their green strategy to recycle and reuse waste.

"One of our key goals is to use more recycled or renewable materials without compromising performance or durability," the company´s statement read.
